ALL ROLL-ON® FLOOR SYSTEMS PRODUCTS ARE PFAS-FREE.


Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are used in some floor coatings. These "forever chemicals" are associated with health risks.

Roll-on® coatings are applied to skating centers only, hosts to millions of children annually. Due to the effects of PFAS on our public, our factory developed systems eliminating them in our products while sustaining the qualities that have made Roll-on® brands the standards within our industry.

PFAS do not break down easily and can accumulate in the environment or in the human body. The shedding of floor coatings can release PFAS into indoor dust and air. Exposure can occur through inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact.

Exposures to certain PFAS are associated with:
  • Changes in cholesterol levels
  • Developmental delays and other effects in children
  • Increased risk of some cancers
  • Hormone interference
  • Immune system suppression
  • Reproductive issues
Manufacturers are not always required to disclose the presence of PFAS:
  • Look for certification: Check for products certified by organizations with strict chemical standards, such as Green Seal or Cradle to Cradle. Green Seal, for example, has prohibited PFAS from its certified floor care products since 2023.
  • Ask the manufacturer directly: Inquire whether products contain any ingredients listed by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) associated with PFAS.

Firefly™ Luminosity additive may be added to Roll-on™ or Traction® Skate Floor Coatings to create GRAPHIC DESIGNS, TRAFFIC PATTERNS, CIRCLES AND LINE ACCENTS in an invisible fluorescent coating that only becomes visible when illuminated by black lights.
